How much in taxes are taken out from my paycheck?

How much federal income tax, ssa tax, other taxes, and union fees will go out in total?
How much will i get back for income tax return?

it usually ends up being about 25 – 30 percent of your check

Dude. Look at your pay stub. All of that info is supposed to be there. If you don’t have one attached to your check, you’re getting screwed.

Educate yourself. This is not the kind of place that will give you the answers for that. You really have to wrap your own head around it.

Normally you’ll get a pay stub and that’ll tell you how much are being taken out during the pay period. But usually about 30 percent total. The most federal government will take out is 33 percent.

The minimum federal deduction is $5,350 (for Single who can be claimed Dependent). It appears that you will not make more than $5,350 in 2007, and you will not be paying any federal income tax (FED W/H).
So when you file your return you should get back entire federal income tax withheld and almost all of state income tax withheld.

You will not get back any of Social security withholding, Medicare withholding, Union fees and State Disability insurance (SDI). Total percentage of all these taxes will be less than 10%.

So anything over 10% of your paycheck, you will surely get back after you file your return.

This is an impossble question to answer.

You didn’t say how you filed your W-4.

But, just guessing…I would say at least 10% for federal taxes and at least the same fo CA taxes. Then you will have another 7.65% for SS/Medicare.

And, and then what ever your union dues are…so, my guess would be around 30 to 35% withholding.

And as far as a refund…it will not be enough to count on for anything important.

But, like I said this is just a guess. There isn’t enough info to answer your question.
